K2 The Savage Mountain

K2 is the second-highest mountain in the world, standing at 8,611 meters above sea level. It is located in the Karakoram Range on the border between Pakistan and China. K2 is also known as the “Savage Mountain” because it is very difficult and dangerous to climb.

 Why K2 is Famous

K2 is famous for its steep slopes, extreme weather, and deadly conditions. Unlike Mount Everest, K2 has no easy route to the top. Strong winds, heavy snowfall, and sudden storms make climbing very risky.

Climbing Challenges

Only skilled climbers attempt to climb K2. Many face problems like low oxygen, freezing temperatures, and avalanches. Because of these dangers, K2 has one of the highest death rates among high mountains.

Despite its danger, K2 is very beautiful. It is surrounded by glaciers, snow covered peaks, and breathtaking landscapes. It is an important part of Pakistan’s natural heritage and attracts adventurers from all over the world.
